Sometimes, the things that fall just outside of our comfort zone are the greatest opportunities for growth. They push us to find the vial of courage hidden deep within ourselves. To rise above self-manufactured ideas of what we can and cannot do.
From someone with varying levels of social anxiety, parties can be testing. Especially if I don’t have a close friend to go with. But do I let the fear of being lonely amidst a crowd prevent me from having a life-changing experience?
I have. Many times. But if at some point, I didn’t drink from that vial and walk out the door, I wouldn’t be here talking to you.
