Coin 8 Studio, 1 hour before BOHEMIA
Syrus, DJ and one of the organizers of BOHEMIA, is supposed to play a sold-out, 450-person party. He’s spent the past few weeks tirelessly working with his team to make sure the party is perfect and hasn’t had time to prepare his set.
The clock is ticking indifferently. 45 minutes until doors open.
Bohemians all over the city are getting ready. They feel a buzz in their bodies, nervousness and excitement. The party’s mysterious advertising prepared them for something magnificent. But that’s about all they know.
Coin 8 Studio, doors to BOHEMIA open
After months of passionate preparation, BOHEMIA – An Electric Fantasia of the Arts is born.
Harry Taylor opens the party with a heartfelt acoustic set, and the iconic SAHARASUN follows.
Meanwhile, Syrus sits in the venue owner’s office, perched over his computer.
The crowd downstairs is electric. Yet he knows they haven’t even started to peak. From up there, he sees a tidal wave forming in the distance. Coming straight towards the dancefloor.
Leaning into this feeling, he connects with the mystical land of BOHEMIA. He decides to embrace the present, the wild, the unpredictable.
Armed only with his first track, Syrus unleashes himself on the decks.
His set was a snapshot of time. A fully improvised masterpiece inspired by the energy in the room. A co-creation between Syrus and each one of you.
This is probably why so many of us continue to say it was the greatest set of all time.
